This hot sauce gift set includes 4 exotic sauces from Ukuva iAfrica. Ukuva form part of Turqle Trading, a social enterprise in Cape Town who develop and market fairly traded and ethical food products. Fire Sauce is a moderately hot, red chilli sauce with great body and depth of flavour. Although it is not blisteringly hot, you still need to approach it with caution! It complements tomatoes, beef, carrots, onions, and chicken, and can be used as a marinade, during cooking or, for super chilli fans, it can be used as a table condiment or dipping sauce. Gold Sauce is a golden-coloured chilli sauce with a hint of vinegar and a good kick of heat at the end. It is said to be the hottest sauce in the Ukuva range, but it is intensely flavourful and deliciously moreish. It goes well with fresh pasta, it is a superb sandwich spread (especially for smoked meat or fish) or it can be mixed with cream cheese and used as a dip. It can also be spread onto chicken, pork, or fish before grilling. So, a versatile sauce which can be used in a variety of ways. Peri Peri Sauce is a dark chilli sauce with a spicey edge and a taste of black pepper. Peri Peri is perfect for grilled chicken and prawns; rub a little sauce onto chicken half an hour before grilling (for prawns, grill immediately), then sprinkle a little more onto the meat before serving with rice and a nice fresh salad. Mamba Sauce is a new addition to the Ukuva sauce family. Mamba is a smooth, easy pouring, aromatic sauce with a lemon, garlic, and chilli flavour. A medium to hot sauce where the chilli lingers on the tongue, this is a ready to use condiment or dipping sauce that can add a bit of fire to your dinner table.
