Zaytoun Freekeh is a traditional alternative to rice or more ordinary grains, and has been grown in Palestine for over 4,000 years. It's suitable for vegetarians and perfect for use in risotto, stuffing, pilaf, or sprinkled across salads. Freekeh is a truly ancient grain. Green durum wheat is harvested while young and roasted on an open fire. It's then rubbed to remove the husk, revealing an aromatic, smoked grain packed with protein and fibre.
